Ultra Fast ESR Analyzer
A fully automated true Westergren device
The Sedimento ultra fast ESR analyser
brings automated Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate analysis to a higher level.

At present the market is asking for ultra-fast Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) analysers being fully compliant with the true Westergren reference method, stipulated as the gold standard by the International Council for Standardization in Haematology (ICSH).

RMsedcorp, founded by the original inventor of automated, true Westergren ESR analysers, has the answer to this demand.

Based on more than 30 years of experience and knowledge, they now have succesfully engineered and produced a versatile super fast ESR analyser with an unsurpassed performance, regarding accuracy, sampling speed, low sample volume and low cost of ownership with no disposables.
With Sedimento, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) is brought to an excitingly high level.

Sedimento outperforms every automated Westergren ESR analyser that is on the market at present.
SEDIMENTO
A unique instrument that brings fast ESR to your lab.

Strengths and Improvements
  • ESR exactly according to the Westergren method (ICSH)
  • Faster than fast ESR
  • Throughput approx. 360 samples/hr
  • Low sample volume from EDTA tubes
  • Reusable pipettes
  • No disposables
  • Only two reagents
  • Multiple bag-in-box reagent containers (3L) inside analyser
  • Stand-alone, rack or track tube management
  • Small footprint
  • No cross-over contamination
  • LIMS compatible
Extensive testing for quality assurance

To assure fail-safe operation , mechanical, electronic and clinical performance have been extensively tested.
In doing so we get a comprehensive view about the performance of the Sedimento and assure it is a reliable instrument that meets the given specifications.
We also check that the ESR analyser fully complies with the Gold Standard (Westergren) conform ICSH.

  • Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) is important given the instrument has to function correctly in a common elctromagnetic environment, like a densely equipped clinical laboratory.
  • Accurate setting of reagent use is important for accuracy of sedimentation and of course cost per test.
  • Common operator safety regarding electrical circuits and mechanically moving parts is thoroughly checked.
  • Operating software is tested including the internal quality program.
